Hello!!!...Hello!Everyone gets those wrong numbers, crank calls. Few of them trouble us for a while like that uncertain soul who still firmly believes that Chinnu, Chintu or Mantu, whoever it was, gave them the right number and calls just once more, much to our irritation, to confirm. We say the same ‘Sorry wrong number’ or mumble out some other variant and hang up. I’ve had a long history of troubles with such calls; few of them were quite interesting. Short account on them :) This one gentleman would call up, yeah call up, no missed calls no irritating messages. Asks for a girl, interestingly the same voice asks for a different girl every time! Sheetal, Pooja, Neetu, you name it! And once I decided to play it his way ;) Caller: Hello…may I speak to Shweta? Me: Shweta here! Caller (a bit surprised): eh?...Er…shweta, I wanted the EMW notes Me: Give it to you tomorrow (hung up) I never got another call asking for another girl after that! :D Mr. Smarty-pants messages my colleague and troubles him non stop. My colleague is so irritated that he calls this guy up and tells him that it’s a guy’s mobile, not a girl’s. The messages stop with immediate effect!!!! :- This one was a trouble maker. Would message a good morning in the wee hours of the morning and would send a good night in the middle of the night when I’m fast asleep anyway! And sometimes message and plead to be a friend. Wow…sometimes I really can’t help but laugh. Really who would ever ask for such an ordeal????! So I tell him, stop calling, this is really a nuisance now! He says, I won’t stop, do what you want! Uh-oh!...Now you messed with the wrong girl!!! (eehahahah! :D). Next thing I know, every friend I got in Bangalore is giving him crank calls, some use it as a stress buster! The last one, calls him and our hero asks innocently, whom did I call, why are you all troubling me??? My friend says; stop troubling And then finally I have this mysterious person messaging me inane SMS non stop. When I try to call up, they hang up. I give up on it, but later it gets a tad bit off limits, so I call this person, and without wasting a second, pounce on the person and start off firing full speed. I hear a girl giggling, and I go ‘you find that funny huh? what kind of a sick person are you????’ the girl shrieks ‘Hey Sathya, stop it, I can’t hold it back anymore!’ It was one of my closest friends…Yikes! P.S: I am maintaining another blog in my office, and since I cannot write up enough articles for both anymore, I would be reposting the articles from my office blog on here :D Believe in recycling!
