Window Seat

When I board a bus, I have one and only thing on my mind...find a window seat. Now the seat should be such that I have 'more' of the window...and I must be able to open the window...many a times, in spite of struggling endlessly with it, some just refuse to budge! And then of course most importantly it must not be the 'sunny' side of the bus :D
After going through all that pain, I take my seat, switch on my music and prepare my self for the long commute...and in comes the lady/gentleman who for no good reason wants to close that window! Hello! it's open for a reason....in case it didn't occur to you! If you have a genuine problem the dust and pollution outside why not choose a seat where the window is closed? Polluted or not I need this darn air as I have my issues too...and I hate it even more when people oblige immediately to such requests and close the window and there goes the hard earned window seat. So the last time a lady asked me to close the window pointing to her eyes (they seemed to have a problem with the dust on the raod...), I retorted, sorry, I prefer to keep it open; coz I find it difficult when closed!
That was definitely the last thing she expected. But I know that wouldn't have dont her much good as the tiny window won't do half as much harm as the open door she was sitting right next to...duh!

I am sure she gave u the u-r-very-selfish look. bloody hypocrites. By asking us to close the window they are the selfish people

You know, I have had the worst reactions towards a window seat. I grab a window with great deal of difficulty, someone saunters in with lots of children and demand that I give up my window seat. I would have done that had there not been other seats available already. What with the guilting eyes, I succumbed and gave up my seat.
:(

In chennai, i would politely pass the window seat...too much pollution

but, i badly want that window to be open when its slightly drizzling...

but in long flights, i hate the window seat. There aisle is the best, cos u can leave ur seat whenever u want without disturbing others and also b'cos aisle is the perfect seat for sight adichufying all those beautiful Air Hostess.

Harish;
Guess this is universal!

Gils;
Yeah that's the problem with Aisle seat...but i would never sit in the middle seat...gosh would i be cheese in someone's burger!

Ace;
Same as what i said for Gils....and once i got stuck in between a tall guy and a fat aunty on a long distance flight...the guy needed extra space to stretch his legs and Aunty was ...well spilling over to my seat. I could hardly move a muscle after that flight

haaaa.....Suber!
I've had many such interesting rows in the bus...adha pathi thani poste podalam...once i went to the extent of placing my arm on the window for the entire journey just so that the bugger in the front seat doesnt close it....idhula window should be opened equally on either sides....konjam inga space koranjalum dishoom dishoom :D....inch tape vechi alakadha kora thaan!

P.S: Satie-a???....hey Susie samathu ponnu....parava illa :P unmaya othukiteenga! i appreciate it

Egjactly!
People tend to forget that others also have their own preference just they way that they themselves do...and once in a whil if someone decides to have it their way...they got a problem with that...hypocrites...yeah!

Vidya;
Yeah that's irritating...and with children around, i'd rather not be seating anywhere near them let alone the window seat...the ladies very sweetly tend to put one of them on ur lap with a smile on their face 'aunty kitta ukkandhukko...chellam illa'...grrrr....i simply give up my seat and walk off to some remote corner of the bus! Worse still sometimes, they dont want u to give up ur seat. how sweet u think..na-ah. soon they have the apple of their eyes standing near u gazing out of the window...stepping on ur leg, dupatta/saree and jumping happily that the TN govt had provided them with cushioned foot rests....uggghhh!

Wyvern;
You remind me of my friend who said there's such a demand for aisle seats in a particular airline....reason being they got sesky air hostesses. !!!!!!!!!
