Suffer-RING

No it's not about matrimony or commitment :)
It's about those mobile phones and the irritating ring tones. Of late I've started hating the mobile. Just when you think you are all relaxed and have time for yourself...bam...there you got a call. And it's so irritating that I tend to run through the call hurriedly only to find that the 'moment' is lost :(
Add to that those weird ring tones you keep hearing. You got one hit song this season, god help you coz you're going to hear that almost everywhere thanks to them wicked ring tones. And as if they thought these weren't enough, some really bad bad boy came up with those hello tunes. Uggghhh! You make that call after postponing it at least a hundred times and what do you get to hear?...
Jhalak dhiklaaja...ek baar aaja aaja aaja aaja...
or worse
Aayiye...aapka...intezar tha!
:- or worse still, some cheesy song playing and it so happens these days people either take their own sweet time to pick that call or don't answer it at all (at least the first time)...are they actually proud of these tortuous hello tunes?! And why do all these tunes have to be some sappy love song...the one I heard most was that 'Tere liye' song from the absolutely unbearable Veer Zara.
Alright may be I am over reacting, but guess the whole mobile thing has got to my nerves. These days when I get a call, I simply don't pick it and then switch to silent mode (well people have this irritating habit of calling you continuously at least twice or thrice if you don't pick the call the first time around...as if you're hiding from them somewhere and it's their way of telling that they won't be that easy to get rid of...they kinda get the message though )
These days my mobile stays at home...hehe...kind of beats the purpose I know but what the hell!

P.S: I was reminded of this long-due post by this incident in this crammed fish market near my house; husband and wife come to buy fish...the mobile around husband's neck rings, call's for wife, wife pulls it and talks while mobile still hanging from husbands neck...the fantastic duo block the entire passage...leave the poor man carrying the huge crate of fish stuck behind them, shouting in vain asking them to move!...Man gets fed up puts the basket down...husband turns and starts looking at the fish(!!!) and almost asks the price when he notices that murderous look in the man's eyes...! :D

P.P.S: That's one hell of a long P.S!

Song on: None!
Mood: Sleepy

Firstu! - Thanks to the Itunes and the polyphonic mobiles we have all these things.

I guess Reliance mobile cameup with this idea of different ring tones. The one i cannot forget it "Phone adikudu paaruda somberi"!

Aha! My fav topic... I just go wild hearing these ringtones loud and clear in office... I was already tired of the extn's ringing... now to added to that every bugger has a cellphone and none of them put it in silent when they come to office... as if the regular ring was not enuf some jobless guy invents polyphonic and MP3 ring tone phones... As if even this was not enuf, some useless service starts up with hello tunes... where people have some celeb's voice... I got fooled so many times...I start talking and only then realize that its some hello tune talking and not the actual person... felt like bashing that guy black and blue...

//well people have this irritating habit of calling you continuously at least twice or thrice if you don't pick the call the first time around...//
This is the most annoying matter of cellphone... I just get totally pissed when someone keeps calling again and again... when there is nothing important... I dont understand what they are trying to prove by calling so many times... are they trying to make a number so that they can say I called u 5 times and u didnt pick...damn! them ... :)
At this rate I will write a post here, I will stop it here :) I kottifyed all my korais...

SUPER...u knw icici bank insists on ppl having the official ringtone of icici...enga makkal has gone to the extent of recording their voice as ring tones...thideernu team meetingapo "fone edra dogay"nu it started and after tt it was followed by all semmozhi sorkal from tamil...turned out to be bludy embarrasing for tt person

Remember ur new year resolution.. You are starting to swear!!!:)

There is no point in blaming the technology. I think ring tones and caller tunes are a great concept. People should be taught about phone-etiquette :)

Aiyo...dont get me started on those reliance ringtones....onnuthula bihari bashila phone edukka sollum...sahikadhu!
KK;
Appa!!!...take a breather...porinju thalliteenga pola :)) They actually have hello tunes like people are talking?...it's so ridiculous...paavam neenga...but sirippu thaan varudhu :D
And in office the least people can do is to lower the ring tone volume or for pete's sake carry that thing around...it's not your landline...it's a mobile phone, you're supposed to be carrying it if u're so mobile...appada...i love it everytime when i vent out my frustration like this :D

Kodumai...at least decency-kavdhu urupadiya oru ringtone vachi irundirukalam...thevaya...just to show off that one is ultra cool!
ITW;
Firstly...i dont know how to call you!!!...sorry :)
Read ur post, i thought i'll leave the comment there but then not sure if you'd notice it in an old one...so here it goes:
Cute :)
Actualy i do use my mobile phone for a lot of these reasons...i got a naughty niece back home and she's in love with my moto razr...the moment i flip it open her jaws drop open as if she'd seen the most marvelous creation ever. Besides a camera phone is the next best thing to a camera...in fact better, u dont have to hunt for it in some dingy drawer, it's right out there, reachable on time to get those funny shots of hers...and yeah...about the extra contacts, i've got 2 imps in the family who do those honours as well

Karthik;
I dont think i've broken it completely yet :) I didn't have to use '*' '@' and '#' to hide the profanities in my posts/comments lately. I think i've been going slow on the F and A words, so yeah, almost okie :)) (tcha, ippadi oru lame explanation-a...sahikala!)
And yeah, nothing against the technology as such...i hate caller tunes but i do like ring tones, good ones that is and at a bearable volume. My standard ring tone used to be the Guns and roses' Sweet child of mine tune (i lost it with my old mobile sob sob!)...used to love it and was unique back then (which was 3 years back!)...i'm not bragging but its by far one of the best ringtones! Then switched to mounaragam's theme, found it was nice but too slow for me and then Kadhal Kondein's theme...but ellam short lived...ippodaiku the old telephone's tring tring suits me fine :)

it indeed was too funny to look at, the fish market scene...the 2 love birds in front and the poor man stuck behind them. In fact i made no effort to hide my laughter...i was in splits much to the couple's irritation :D

By Blogger Sat, at 7:44 PM, January 17, 2007

Ohhh!!! Nacchunu oru topic!

Dunt ya tell me abt ringtones n hello tunes... they suck! Big time!

We were once in the exam hall. the whole place was silent. and suddenly from someone's bag starts off "munbae vaa"!!! Nothing cud be worse! i hate it when people refrain from switching to silent mode when in a meeting or lecture!

I have this frnd of mine.. for a long time she had some really horrible english song! Oh man! i used to hate calling her, but really unavoidable..

and ppl calling over n over again! Hell with it! Its so damn irritating!

I know the pain. There is somebody at work who does not have the decency to turn on the vibrate mode on the cell phone. And the ring tune is a non-sense tune !! It annoys me greatly...
